FINALIST BLOG: ANDRÉS 02/06/10

My first day in Auckland!
The flight wasn’t as long and terrible as I had imagined and I’m almost recovered from the jet lag. People from YBB had left this nice customized T-shirt and jacket for me in the hotel and then I took a picture with the shirt on so you can check it out.
Then I met with Ben to have lunch. Great guy! We had lunch at Deux ex Machina, a very cool place where you can buy a motorcicle right after your meal.
Then I met with my sister and her husband Robert. That’s right, she is from Argentina like me but she is here too since her husband is from Warkworth (here in NZ). They both live in Argentina but they came here to get married so I was able to catch up with them (that’s what I call a coincidence).
We went to Sky Tower, a REALLY BIG tower here in Auckland where you can go up to the top and get an incredible sight of New Zealand (I wouldn’t want to be the guy that cleans the windows from the outside). Later we went to visit Steven and Craig, two friends of my sis and Robert and we got a great dinner. I really trained my english there (which is starting to transfrom in New Zealand english).
So, that was my first day in Auckland. on sunday I’ll be flying to Queenstown to start the real adventure.
